I’m Joe Schwartz, the founder of Hollywood Hair. I started losing my hair in Vietnam. I was a pilot and thought the helmet was causing my hair loss. I figured it would grow back after my stint in the service but unfortunately I was wrong. Of course my ego wouldn’t let me be a “baldy” so I went on the great hairpiece hunt.
I’d seen plenty of bad hairpieces so I wasn’t about to put one of those “Club Rugs” on my head. So where to start? Simple, go where the movie stars go! Over the next five years I tried all the top places. Each company had something good to offer but I wanted the “whole enchilada”, a hairpiece that combined all the best into one hair piece. And I couldn’t find it.
That’s how Hollywood Hair was born. By combining my experience as a hairpiece wearer with the behind-the-scenes secrets of the “Best of the Best”, men like Max Factor, Ziggy, Charlie Wright and Don Jeffries I figured I could create the most natural looking and undetectable hair piece ever.
